DWIII is over!
Here's a member of the Polycount team, his purpose is to heal or revive allies with by transferring some energy from that Polycount Ball and infusing it into a target wounded creature.

With this character, my goal was to make something fateful to the concept and trying to make some slight changes to improve the initial idea. It was also a great time management exercise

Technical stuff : 8750 triangles and one 2048 for Diffuse, spec, normal, opacity and gloss.

Ill post the concept and the Winning pose below

Here's is the initial direction I am leaning into for the dominance war contest. Its a priest healer who revives/heals his allies. The current model is a bit different in his shapes since I wanted something that feels more majestic/imposing. You can follow the progress here: http://boards.polycount.net/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=272472&an=0&

Hi,
here is my latest portfolio piece, I wanted to create a warrior hero inspired by some titles like assassin's creed (cant wait!), diablo universe and gears of war (hair setup).

The final model is 8505 triangles including weapon(500 tris.), case (100 tris.) and the hair (800 tris). Rendered in max 9 with standard blinn materials

I am planning to import it in Roboblitz (UE3) but I need to figure out how to setup a good point of view and how to turn off the robot model.
I have posted the progress of the model in the WIP/Critic game art section.

Here's an Image painted after seeing both Starcraft II trailers. The main idea is a protoss commander carrying brushes, inspiration and ideas for his fellow protoss mates. (for a moral boost :P )

I am quite happy how it turned out. I hope you enjoy it aswell.
I am also adding an alternate version (more blueish/spacelike) of this to my gallery.

Done for conceptart.org's weekly COW. A great activity I love to follow. That week's theme was Blue Mountain Glider

here's the concept
The Careabeas are feathered mammals that inherited of the bird's ability to glide. The long feathers on their upper arms permits them to glide for a few seconds; just enough to catch birds flying too close to them. Their feathers also serve them well as they offer additional stability when leaping from ledges. Their feline sense combined with the bird's precise eye makes them a very ferocious predators.
